With over 80 years of combined experience in structural steel, the senior officers of Hirschfeld have dedicated their careers to the implementation of the latest technology, and through continuous improvement creating the highest quality end product in the steel fabrication industry. It is the philosophy of the senior management team to maintain the highest ethical standards and create an atmosphere that is conducive to the development of all employees, visitors and clients into lifelong partners.
While maintaining Hirschfeld’s position as a premier fabricator of steel is of paramount importance, the senior management team desires to provide a safe, healthy and clean working environment for all employees. In addition, with an open-door policy, the senior management team encourages open, honest and direct communication with all employees. The belief that Hirschfeld’s employees are the most valuable asset the company holds is shared from the senior management team down to the newest employee.
Dennis Hirschfeld

Mr. Hirschfeld has worked in the steel fabrication industry for more than 26 years and was appointed President in 2002. Mr. Hirschfeld obtained a Masters in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, and is also a registered professional engineer. Currently Mr. Hirschfeld serves as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer.
Richard Phillips

Mr. Phillips became the CFO of Hirschfeld in August 2004. Prior to joining Hirschfeld, Mr. Phillips spent 24 years with JPMorgan Chase in Houston, Texas, lastly as Co-Manager of the Middle Market Banking Group in Houston and as a Managing Director of the Middle Market Investment Banking effort. Mr. Phillips graduated from Virginia Tech with an MBA. In 2008, Mr. Phillips was named President of Hirschfeld.
Rod Goodwill
CFO

Mr. Goodwill joined Hirschfeld in 1990 in the position of Corporate Controller. Prior to his tenure with Hirschfeld, Mr. Goodwill spent ten years in the construction industry as General Manager of a Grading and Underground Utility Contractor, and as CFO of a HVAC Contractor specializing in large state and federal projects. Mr. Goodwill also spent five years in the manufacturing industry as a Division Controller for United Technologies Automotive Group. Mr. Goodwill received a BS Degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University and an MBA from California Coast University, with most credits coming from the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University. In 2009, Mr. Goodwill was named CFO of Hirschfeld Industries.
W. H. Reeves
President – Bridge Division

As manager of the Bridge Group, Mr. Reeves oversees all bridge activities at all of Hirschfeld’s facilities. He began his career at Hirschfeld in 1969 and has held numerous management positions. Mr. Reeves obtained a Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
Jacob Balderas
Senior VP – Human Resources

Mr. Balderas started with Hirschfeld in 2002 as an HR Administrator and became Vice President of Human Resources in 2004. Since 2004 Mr. Balderas also oversees the Health, Safety and Environmental Programs for Hirschfeld. Prior to joining Hirschfeld, Mr. Balderas worked for SITEL Corporation where he held several key positions such as Benefits Administrator and HR Recruiter. Mr. Balderas has ten years of Human Resources experience and is a Professional Member of the National Society of Human Resources Management.
